So finally, after several attempts, you get someone to join you for coffee. She takes an interest in you and your distress. Here is where you must show her that you are the weaker sex (swallow your pride and play the game). She is the stronger sex who will take you into her arms and lick and heal your wounds, reviving you back to good health. Tell her about your girlfriend who you are still dating and are on the verge of breaking up with, or have just broken up with.
Let her know that you wanted more out of the relationship than she was willing to give. You tell your new acquaintance, point blank, that your girlfriend, or prior girlfriend, just wasn't interested in growing and having a solid, loving, meaningful relationship, and you were. This will cause your new found friend, if she's interested in you, to start thinking. It will also break down a lot of barriers that normally prevent people from growing and going further into something beautiful with each other.
Your first girlfriend, more or less, paved the way for your new girlfriend to step right on in and take over the journey of going deeper
into a meaningful relationship. When you sense that this is about to take place, you thank her for coming into your life at a time you really needed her. Soon you've managed to share various experiences with each other, and the growth process begins to rapidly take its course. Next, you proceed to break off any ties you've had with your old girlfriend, and you let her know that you've found what you were looking for. State that you have no harsh or ill feelings toward her, and wish her the very best. In this event, you come out on top without hurting anyone. You are now free to develop a meaningful and greater relationship with someone else.
